Maureen McCutcheon was born and raised on a farm in Lambton County in Southwestern Ontario by two very hardworking parents. She is the oldest of three children having two younger brothers. Their family farm consisted of vegetable, livestock and cash crop production along with a farm roadside market. Maureen spent her youth working very hard and a lot long hours on the family farm.
After post secondary education at University of Windsor in Business and Ridgetown College in Agricultural Business she went on to work in various capacities in Agriculture. Her career history ranged from Wholesale Grain Accountant to most recently Commercial Agricultural Specialist for CIBC. Along that journey she also had experience with residential, commercial and agricultural lending. Through these employment opportunities Maureen has also been a specialist for budgeting, cash flow projections, project management, real estate development, consulting, estate planning, debt consolidation and real estate refurbishing and resale.
Maureen is married to David Armstrong together they own and operate a cash crop farm in the same area where they grew up. Maureen and David have 6 children which also keeps them very busy.
Over the years Maureen has become very community involved and gives back to the community co-ordinating fundraisers, bursaries for students and volunteering at events such as the 2018 Ontario Plowing Match as an executive to the committee along with countless other events.
Maureen also continues to educate herself with courses and learning. She completed her Mortgage Agent Course in January of 2021 and became licensed in May of 2021. She has been finding mortgage solutions for clients ever since. She is also currently pursuing her real estate licence.
